Privacy Policy

1. Who runs Truvah

Truvah is operated by an individual founder (the "Founder"), not a registered company. Wherever this policy or our Terms of Service refer to "Truvah," "we," or "us," that means the Founder, operating Truvah Analyze (asktruvah.com) and Truvah Chat (asktruvah.co.in) as two related products under the Truvah name.

2. Consent & Legal Basis

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, we only process your personal data on the basis of your explicit, informed, and withdrawable consent. For Truvah Chat, you provide this consent during onboarding, before your handle is activated. For Truvah Analyze, submitting a conversation for a read is itself your consent to process it for that single purpose.

You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent for Chat means closing your account (see Section 6). Withdrawing consent for Analyze simply means not submitting another conversation — nothing is retained between sessions to withdraw from.

3. Eligibility

Truvah is intended for individuals aged 18 and older. By using either product, you confirm you meet this minimum age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we will delete any account we learn belongs to a minor.

4. Information We Collect

  • Account data: your email, name, and profile picture, via Google sign-in.
  • Profile data: your Truvah handle and display name.
  • Conversation content: for Analyze, the chat you paste in for a one-time read. For Chat, the messages you send and receive on the platform.

5. How We Use It

We use conversation content to generate the behavioral insights and compatibility reads that are the point of using Truvah. We do not use your conversations to serve ads, and we do not sell your data to anyone, for either product.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Truvah Analyze: your conversation is deleted immediately once your read is generated. Nothing from an Analyze session is stored afterward.

Truvah Chat: your messages and profile are retained for as long as your account is active, so your conversation history stays intact — the same way any messaging app works. We do not automatically delete messages after any fixed period.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, from within the Chat settings panel. Deleting your account removes your access and closes it out — this is a manual action you take, not something that happens on a schedule.

7. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw consent and request erasure of your data.
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

8. Data Security

We rely on industry-standard infrastructure providers (including Supabase and Google) for authentication and data storage, and restrict access to conversation data to what's required to generate your insights. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we don't take shortcuts with what protection we can reasonably put in place.

9. Grievance Officer & Contact

In accordance with the DPDP Act, the Founder serves as the Grievance Officer for Truvah. For any privacy questions, data requests, consent withdrawal, or complaints, contact:

Founder, Truvah — asktruvah@gmail.com

We aim to respond to any grievance within a reasonable time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Truvah evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised policy.
